Just a few facts

World Passport Project, also known as "take one, they're free", is the initiation of Sonya Spry: installation artist.
The concept began in her second year of study, 2001, at the AbvkA Art Academy in Arnhem, NL.

The project has grown over the last years in ample diversity and has been shown in various forms at 11 exhibitions in Europe and Africa. Thousands of people have participated in, discussed, experienced and above all supported the concept behind the World Passport Project. It's translated in 7 languages and a very special thanks to all the translators who have generously volunteered their time.

All passports are handmade: so far,
1521 World Passports have been issued.

PLEASE NOTE: New passports cannot be issued via internet from July 2006 onwards due to the fact that the passport administrator is on world tour indefinitely. You can however, make your own copy: find out how

Any comments you'd like to share regarding this project or concept then please add your thoughts to the guestbook.
